| Robbie Pfeufer Kahn is a professor of sociology at the University of Vermont. She is the author of Bearing Meaning: The Language of Birth (University of Illinois Press, 1995), winner of the 1997 Jesse Bernard Award of the American Sociological Association. In 2006, she won the Innovative Course Award from the Humane Society of the United States and the Center for Life and Environment. | |
